Instagram is a photo and video sharing app made by Meta (META), built around Feed, Stories, Reels, Live and private messaging, where creators and businesses also reach shoppers. It launched in 2010, and Facebook, later renamed Meta, announced in April 2012 that it would acquire it. Adam Mosseri has been head of Instagram since October 1, 2018.
