BLACKROCK MUNIYIELD N Y QUALITY FD INC is a closed-end management investment company. Its investment objective is to provide stockholders with as high a level of current income exempt from federal income taxes and New York State and New York City personal income taxes. The majority of the Fund's investments are made in a portfolio of investment-grade municipal obligations issued by or on behalf of the State of New York, its political subdivisions, agencies and instrumentalities, and by other qualifying instrumentalities, the interest on which is excludable from gross income for federal income tax purposes and exempt from New York State and New York City personal income taxes. It invests directly in such securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives.
