Amazon is reportedly developing its own custom AI chips for consumer devices, including Echo smart speakers and Fire TV, according to multiple reports. The effort fits AMZN's broader vertical-integration strategy, which already spans Graviton CPUs and the Trainium and Inferentia accelerators used in AWS data centers.
