Anthropic had more than 11,900 customers each generating at least $100,000 of trailing twelve-month revenue as of September 30, up nearly 8x from about 1,500 at the end of 2025, per its S-1 disclosures. More than 1,900 customers crossed $1 million. Separately, Reuters reported Anthropic may sell up to $3.5 billion of shares in Japan as part of its U.S. listing, and the company detailed drug-discovery partnerships built on Claude.

Anthropic's enterprise business is scaling quickly. As of September 30, more than 11,900 customers were each generating at least $100,000 in trailing twelve-month revenue, up nearly 8x from about 1,500 at the end of 2025, according to figures from the company's S-1 highlighted by analyst Beth Kindig. The $100,000 mark is a per-customer threshold, not a company revenue figure. Crypto Briefing reported that more than 1,900 customers crossed $1 million and about 250 crossed $10 million, with net revenue retention of about 900%.

The listing is taking shape. Reuters reported that Anthropic will sell up to 552.9 billion yen ($3.5 billion) of shares in Japan as part of its U.S. IPO, and that the filing did not state the overall size or valuation of the offering. Headlines describing a separate "$3.5 billion Japan IPO" overstate it: this is a Japanese tranche of one listing.

Anthropic is also pushing Claude into drug discovery. In an October 27 post it described research partnerships with six organizations, including work on cancer and food allergy, and said it acquired Mithril Medicine to develop muscular dystrophy treatments, with a drug potentially entering human trials as soon as late 2028. On infrastructure, the Motley Fool reported that under an "Anthropic Direct" model partners secure land, power and facilities while Anthropic leases the compute, with five-year rent totaling $125.2 billion before interest.

For investors watching the AI trade, the S-1 metrics give the first audited view of how fast Anthropic's large-customer base is growing, while the lease commitments show how much capacity it is locking in. Disclosed risks include concentration, with the top five customers about a quarter of sales.
