Balchem (BCPC) reported record third-quarter 2026 net sales of $290.7 million, up 8.6% from a year earlier, and marked its 29th consecutive quarter of year-over-year adjusted EBITDA growth. Adjusted EPS of $1.57 beat the $1.43 analyst estimate by $0.14, while revenue edged past the $289.25 million consensus.

Profitability improved faster than sales. Adjusted EBITDA reached a record $80 million, up 12.4%, and gross margin widened 70 basis points to 36.4%. The company attributed the margin gain to sales growth, favorable mix and manufacturing efficiencies, partly offset by higher manufacturing input costs. GAAP diluted EPS was $1.46, up 17.7%.

All three segments grew. Human Nutrition and Health sales rose 8.1% to $188 million, Animal Nutrition and Health rose 11.7% to $63 million with operating earnings up 82.8%, and Specialty Products, which covers performance gases and chelated minerals, rose 4.5% to $37 million. Management pointed to VitaCholine and K2VITAL DELTA expanding from infant nutrition into adult cognitive and cardiovascular uses, and to encapsulated nutrient technology in animal nutrition.

The revenue beat was small, about 0.5% above consensus, so the EPS surprise did most of the work. Balchem gave no numeric full-year outlook; management expects fourth-quarter sales to be sequentially lower, in line with seasonality, while remaining confident in healthy year-over-year growth. The stock closed at $173.23 before the report, about 4.9% below its 52-week high of $183.90.
