BlackRock's Staked Ethereum Fund Reaches $254M in Assets Under Management

BlackRock's staked Ethereum fund, either through iShares Staked Ethereum Trust or the BlackRock Staked Ethereum Fund, has reached an asset under management of $254 million.

BLK's staked Ethereum fund has reached $254 million in assets under management, marking rapid growth for the asset management giant's expanding crypto product suite. The fund follows the launch of BlackRock's iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) on Nasdaq earlier this month, which saw $16 million in first-day trading volume and debuted with $100 million in seed assets.

The staked Ethereum strategy combines spot ether price exposure with staking rewards, offering investors yield on top of asset appreciation — a differentiation from standard spot ETH products. BlackRock's total digital asset exposure now exceeds $60 billion across IBIT (Bitcoin, $55B+), ETHA (Ethereum, ~$6.5B), the tokenized BUIDL fund, and stablecoin reserves, establishing the firm as the dominant institutional gateway to crypto.

For BLK investors, the rapid AUM growth validates institutional demand for yield-bearing crypto products and positions BlackRock to capture management fees from the expanding digital asset market. The key risk remains crypto market volatility — a significant ETH drawdown could trigger redemptions and compress the staking yield that differentiates these products from traditional ETFs.
