EchoStar's and Coca-Cola's Leadership Transitions

EchoStar Corporation announced a leadership transition, while Coca-Cola's North America president will depart in August. The changes come as both companies navigate their respective markets. EchoStar's legal chief is stepping down for a career break.

SATS EchoStar Corporation announced the departure of Chief Legal Officer Dean Manson, a 26-year company veteran, effective June 26, 2026. Manson notified the board in April of his intention to take a career break. Jeffrey Blum, EVP of Government Affairs with 21 years at EchoStar, has assumed the Acting CLO and Secretary role while a permanent search is underway. Manson will remain as Senior Advisor through the transition.

Separately, KO Coca-Cola announced that Jennifer Mann, EVP and President of the North America Operating Unit since early 2023, will step down on August 1, 2026 after 29 years with the company. President and CFO John Murphy assumes interim North America responsibility while a successor is identified. Mann will serve as Senior Advisor through April 2027 for continuity. North America is Coca-Cola's largest operating segment and the primary execution vehicle for its affordability and volume recovery strategy.

Leadership transitions at both companies are planned departures with overlap periods in place, limiting near-term operational disruption. At EchoStar, the CLO transition coincides with ongoing regulatory activity around the company's satellite spectrum portfolio. At Coca-Cola, the change arrives as the company navigates pricing normalization across the North American beverage market. Both boards have retained experienced internal bridge leaders, which typically signals the permanent search will favor cultural continuity over external disruption.
