Eli Lilly Partners with Hims & Hers to Sell Zepbound and Foundayo Directly on Telehealth Platform

Eli Lilly and Hims & Hers announced a formal partnership that lets eligible Hims patients buy Lilly's Zepbound injection and Foundayo pill without leaving the platform, at self-pay prices starting at $299 and $149 a month, matching LillyDirect. Hims agreed not to sell compounded copies of Lilly's GLP-1 drugs. Hims shares rose more than 7% in premarket trading.
LLY and HIMS have struck a formal partnership that lets eligible Hims & Hers patients buy Lilly's obesity drugs directly on the telehealth platform. Patients with a prescription from a licensed Hims provider can purchase Zepbound (tirzepatide) injections and Foundayo (orforglipron) tablets at self-pay prices starting at $299 and $149 a month, the same prices Lilly charges through LillyDirect, according to Lilly's announcement and Reuters. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The change is in the checkout, not the access. Since April 23, 2026, Hims had been routing Lilly prescriptions to the LillyDirect pharmacy, and patients had to leave the Hims site to pay; Hims' own disclosures at the time said this did not imply a partnership with Lilly. Under the new deal Hims committed not to sell compounded copies or knockoffs of Lilly's GLP-1 medicines. "At Lilly, we are always looking for new ways to help more people get the medicines they need," said Ilya Yuffa, president of Lilly USA, while Hims CEO Andrew Dudum called Lilly "one of the most innovative pharmaceutical companies in history."
For Hims, the deal adds a second major branded GLP-1 supplier after its on-off relationship with Novo Nordisk, which ended a partnership in June 2025 over compounded semaglutide and then signed a new deal in March 2026. Hims shares rose more than 7% in premarket trading, and Leerink analyst Michael Cherny called the agreement "a clear positive". For Lilly, the value is reach in the cash-pay channel: Reuters reported that roughly 40% to 45% of Zepbound sales are self-pay.
What to watch: whether the platform measurably lifts Zepbound and Foundayo self-pay volumes in Lilly's next quarterly report, how Hims' subscriber growth responds, and whether the commitment on compounding holds as Hims continues to offer compounded semaglutide under its Novo arrangement.
