IonQ reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $173.8 million after the close on Nov. 5, up 336% from $39.9 million a year earlier, and raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $505 million to $515 million. Remaining performance obligations more than doubled to $1.2 billion. The stock rallied on Friday: intraday readings of 10.93% in the morning and 12.64% in the afternoon were followed by a regular-session close up 23.4%, according to SentiSense data. The market-wrap headline cited by Barron's described IonQ as the day's leader in a mixed session.
The headline growth has two sources. Platform revenue rose 127% to $90.3 million, while the newly consolidated SkyWater foundry business added $83.5 million, so a large part of the 336% reflects an acquisition rather than organic growth alone. Revenue also beat the $141 million estimate cited by 24/7 Wall St., and adjusted EPS of a $0.29 loss compared with a $0.80 loss estimate. Management said it has sold out its 256-qubit capacity for 2027.
The profit line needs care. GAAP net income was $564.0 million, but it came mainly from an $896.2 million non-cash gain on warrant liabilities. Adjusted EBITDA was a loss of $133.6 million, wider than the $48.9 million loss a year earlier. About $40 million of one-time SkyWater integration costs hit the quarter, and a $2.0 billion equity offering that closed in October lifted pro forma cash to about $3.7 billion, which also means more shares outstanding.
The shares entered the print down 41.1% year to date by 24/7 Wall St.'s count, so Friday's move was a rebound from a depressed level. What to watch: whether adjusted EBITDA losses narrow as management expects, how much of the raised guidance is organic versus SkyWater, and whether the sold-out 2027 capacity converts into recognized revenue.
