Li Auto delivered 29,025 vehicles in October 2026, below 31,817 in September and 31,767 a year earlier, bringing cumulative deliveries to 1,862,676. The month included the Oct. 28 launch of the 2026 Li i6 with its in-house Lianshan Battery and MACH M100 chip, and OTA 9.2 starts rolling out in November. Rival XPeng topped 50,000 monthly deliveries for the first time.
LI delivered 29,025 vehicles in October 2026, taking cumulative deliveries to 1,862,676, the company said in its monthly update on Nov. 1. That is below the 31,817 vehicles it delivered in September and the 31,767 it delivered in October 2025, according to CnEVPost's monthly tally. Over 3,000 of October's deliveries were the new Li MEGA.
The comparison with rivals was unflattering. XPEV topped 50,000 monthly deliveries for the first time in October while Li Auto slipped to 29,025. Li Auto's September figure had already been down 6.29% year on year and 15.56% from August, per CnEVPost, so October extends a softening trend rather than reversing it. Third-quarter deliveries were 99,964, up 7.24% year on year.
Li Auto is leaning on in-house technology to regain momentum. The 2026 Li i6, launched on Oct. 28, uses the company's proprietary Lianshan Battery and MACH M100 chip, and the company also introduced a Lianshan Motor and a battery warranty program. In November it begins rolling out OTA 9.2 with an upgraded MACH VLA 2.5 driver-assistance model. The company ended October with 481 retail stores in 159 cities and 527 servicing centers.
What to watch: whether the refreshed i6, which only had a few days of sales in October, lifts November volume, and whether Li Auto narrows the gap to XPeng in a market where competition on price and features is intensifying.
