Microsoft Takes Down Malware-Signing Service and Issues Mitigations for Windows Vulnerability

As part of broader cybersecurity efforts, Microsoft has also announced plans to phase out SMS-based authentication for user account recovery, citing concerns about security. Analysts view these moves as crucial steps in protecting enterprise customers from increasingly sophisticated threats.
