Nike Unveils Air Liquid Max Sneaker Collection

Nike has announced the release of its new Air Liquid Max sneaker, a futuristic design from the Liquid Max collection. Collaborations with Fragment Design are already announced. More details about the collection are expected to be revealed closer to the release date of March 26th.

NKE unveiled the Air Liquid Max, an entirely new sneaker silhouette that merges four decades of Air Max heritage with a flexible, contoured Air unit designed for point-loaded distribution. The shoe launches March 26 on SNKRS and select Nike retail partners at a retail price of $230, timed to coincide with Air Max Day 2026. The debut colorway is "Black/Green Apple/Volt/Chrome."

One of the first collaborators on the new platform is longtime partner Fragment Design, led by Hiroshi Fujiwara, who teased an all-black "murdered-out" colorway featuring Fragment's signature lightning bolt logo on the tongue. The Fragment x Nike Air Liquid Max has not yet received an official release date but is expected to follow shortly after the mainline launch.

The Air Liquid Max represents Nike's latest effort to reinvigorate its sneaker lineup with fresh innovation rather than retro reissues. For investors, the key question is whether a $230 price point and high-profile collaborations can drive meaningful sell-through at a time when Nike is working to regain momentum in the direct-to-consumer channel and compete with surging rivals like New Balance and On Running.
