Pentagon Signs AI Deals with Nvidia, Microsoft, AWS, Oracle and Others

The US Department of Defense (DoD) has finalized agreements with a list of companies to deploy AI tools in 'classified settings' for national security work . The list includes Nvidia, Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, OpenAI, Google, Spotify/xAI, Amazon, and Reflection AI . These tools will operate in secure government networks handling sensitive or secret information.

This move follows the DoD's decision to label Anthropic a supply chain risk, causing it to push for broader access to alternative AI vendors . Nvidia's involvement in the deals comes as the company faces a new test as the Pentagon AI deal meets a China server squeeze.

The agreements cover both IL6 (secret-level) and IL7 (highly sensitive national security) classified networks, authorizing AI tools for data synthesis, situational awareness, and warfighter decision support in 'complex operational environments.' NVDA, MSFT, AMZN, and GOOGL are among the primary beneficiaries, each gaining direct access to classified defense AI contracts previously harder to obtain. ORCL shares rose 6.5% on news of its inclusion on the approved vendor list, underscoring the market's recognition of the revenue significance of Pentagon AI deployment at scale.
