RBC Bearings reported fiscal second-quarter net sales of $524.6 million on October 30, up 15.2%, with both segments growing double digits and adjusted EPS rising to $3.74 from $2.88. It guided third-quarter sales to $520-525 million, implying growth of roughly 12.7% to 13.7%.

RBC reported fiscal second-quarter 2027 results on October 30 for the quarter ended September 26. Net sales rose 15.2% to $524.6 million from $455.3 million. Aerospace & Defense sales grew 15.8% and Industrial grew 14.8%, or 14.0% organically.

Profitability improved. Gross margin rose to 45.6% from 44.1%, helped in part by $1.7 million of tariff refunds disclosed in the quarterly filing, and adjusted EBITDA margin reached 33.4% versus 31.9%. GAAP diluted EPS was $2.96 versus $1.90, and adjusted EPS was $3.74 versus $2.88, an increase of about 29.9%.

For the fiscal third quarter, RBC Bearings expects net sales of about $520 million to $525 million. Against $461.6 million a year earlier, that implies growth of roughly 12.7% to 13.7%, still double digits but slower than the second quarter's 15.2%.

What to watch: whether aerospace and defense demand keeps pace with the Industrial segment, how much of the margin gain holds once one-time tariff refunds drop out, and whether third-quarter sales land at or above the guided range.
