Robinhood Ventures Fund I invests in Stripe and ElevenLabs

Robinhood Ventures Fund I reported a significant investment in Stripe and ElevenLabs.

Robinhood Ventures Fund I (RVI) announced it has closed investments in both Stripe and ElevenLabs, marking two of the fund's first major portfolio additions since it began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on March 6, 2026. RVI purchased $14.6 million of Stripe Class B Common Stock on March 9 through a secondary transaction, and followed with a $20 million purchase of ElevenLabs Series D Preferred Stock on March 12 in a primary funding round.

The fund represents HOOD's push to democratize access to private-market investments that have traditionally been reserved for institutional and accredited investors. RVI is structured as a closed-end fund, offering retail investors exposure to a concentrated portfolio of high-profile private companies including Airwallex, Boom, Databricks, Mercor, Oura, Ramp, and Revolut, in addition to the newly added Stripe and ElevenLabs positions.

Stripe, founded in 2010, provides payments and financial infrastructure software used by businesses ranging from startups to large enterprises. ElevenLabs is an AI research company focused on realistic speech and audio generation, serving millions of users. For Robinhood, the investments signal a strategic expansion beyond its core brokerage business into the venture capital space, positioning the company to capture fees from a growing appetite among retail investors for private-market exposure.
