Roper Technologies beats Q3 EPS estimates and raises 2026 outlook; shares rise about 9%

Roper Technologies reported Q3 2026 adjusted EPS of $5.89, up 15% and ahead of the $5.79 consensus, on revenue of $2.17 billion that was roughly in line with estimates. It raised full-year adjusted EPS guidance to $22.35 to $22.40 and highlighted AI product launches across its software businesses. The stock rose about 9% on Oct. 22.

Roper Technologies (ROP) reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $2.17 billion, up 8%, with 7% organic growth and 1% from acquisitions. That was roughly in line with the $2.177 billion consensus. Adjusted diluted EPS rose 15% to $5.89, ahead of the $5.79 Zacks consensus, and GAAP diluted EPS rose 33% to $4.88. Adjusted EBITDA grew 7% to $864 million.

Because the quarter's adjusted EPS came in above its own expectations, Roper raised and narrowed full-year 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to $22.35 to $22.40 from $22.15 to $22.30, above the $22.22 consensus TIKR cited, and guided fourth-quarter adjusted EPS to $5.95 to $6.00. Management expects about 6% organic growth for the year. CEO Neil Hunn said the businesses "again brought several AI launches to market, highlighted by PowerPlan, Strata, and Vertafore," and that Roper is embedding agentic solutions into customer workflows. On the call, per GuruFocus's summary, management said 17 to 18 of its 21 software businesses have agentic products in market, with early monetization most visible at CentralReach.

The shares rose about 9% on Oct. 22 after the before-the-open release (TIKR put the gain at 9.2%). The reaction rewards a vertical-software compounder showing that AI is adding to its products rather than displacing them, a live debate for application-software stocks this year. The next tests are whether organic growth holds near 6% to 7% into 2027, how quickly AI features show up in pricing and bookings beyond CentralReach, and whether Roper redeploys its cash flow into acquisitions.
