Signet Jewelers Beats Q2 Estimates, Raises FY2027 Outlook, Stock Soars

The company raised full-year fiscal 2027 adjusted EPS guidance to $10.45 to $12.15, up from $9.20 to $11.00 and above the $10.82 consensus, and lifted its same-store sales outlook. The shares rose about 9% premarket.

SIG delivered a clear profit beat in its fiscal second quarter, reporting adjusted earnings of $2.19 per share against a $1.72 analyst estimate, a $0.47 margin and its sixth consecutive quarter of topping expectations. Revenue of roughly $1.53 billion came in broadly in line with consensus, so this was a margin story rather than a demand surprise.

The margin math backs that up. Adjusted operating margin expanded to 7% from 5.6% a year earlier, helped by merchandise average unit retail rising about 6% with growth in both the bridal and fashion categories. Same-store sales rose 2.2% in the quarter, and the company raised its full-year same-store sales outlook to flat-to-2.5% growth from a prior range running from a 0.75% decline to 2.5% growth .

Management lifted the full-year profit outlook by more than 10%, guiding fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings per share to $10.45 to $12.15 against prior guidance of $9.20 to $11.00 and a $10.82 consensus . Raising the floor of a guidance range matters more than raising the ceiling, and Signet raised both.

The shares climbed about 9% in premarket trading on the print. Signet also renewed its credit partnership with Bread Financial, which underwrites a meaningful share of customer purchases and is a quieter but real input to the sales line. The question into the holiday quarter is whether the average-unit-retail gains hold once discounting season starts, since that is what carried the margin expansion here.
