Snowflake Launches AI Platform and Tools for Business Workflows

Snowflake introduces AI tools and a platform to automate business workflows. The new tools and platform are designed to bring AI insights to action. Snowflake's AI capabilities will help streamline business operations and decision-making.

SNOW has expanded its AI capabilities with the launch of Cortex Code, a data-native AI coding agent designed to accelerate enterprise development by understanding Snowflake's data, compute, and governance semantics. The platform, which has attracted 4,400+ users since its November 2025 preview, automates end-to-end enterprise development workflows from idea to production — differentiating it from generic coding assistants by deeply integrating with enterprise data context.

The launch comes amid strong financial momentum for Snowflake. The company reported FY2026 revenue of $4.68 billion, up 29.16% year-over-year, with Q4 revenue of $1.28 billion beating estimates. Adjusted EPS of $0.34 topped the $0.27 consensus, and the company guided FY2027 product revenue to $5.66 billion with expanding operating margins. Snowflake also introduced SnowWork for automating business workflows, and expanded Cortex Code's CLI to support any data source — including non-Snowflake environments like dbt and Apache Airflow.

The AI push is strategically critical as Snowflake competes with Databricks for enterprise data and AI workloads. Management noted that Cortex AI capabilities are now linked to approximately 50% of new bookings, suggesting strong customer pull. With net revenue retention at 125% and shares up 5% post-earnings, Snowflake appears to be gaining traction in its transition from a pure analytics platform to a broader AI and data intelligence provider.
