SoFi Technologies reported record third-quarter 2026 results, with adjusted EPS of $0.18 against a $0.17 consensus and GAAP net revenue up 44% to $1.4 billion. It raised its 2026 adjusted net revenue guidance to about $5.04 billion and introduced 2027 targets of about $6.4 billion in adjusted net revenue and $0.90 in adjusted EPS, both above analyst estimates. The shares rose about 11% in early trading.

SOFI reported record third-quarter 2026 results on Tuesday, with revenue up 44% and a record 1.2 million new members. According to the company's earnings release, GAAP net revenue reached $1.4 billion, net income was $241 million and diluted EPS was $0.18, ahead of the $0.17 consensus. Total members reached 17.1 million, and loan originations climbed 71% to $16.9 billion, led by $12.6 billion of personal loans.

The guidance did more of the work than the beat. SoFi raised its 2026 adjusted net revenue outlook to about $5.04 billion, above the $4.88 billion analyst consensus. It also introduced its first 2027 outlook: about $6.4 billion in adjusted net revenue, roughly 27% growth, and adjusted EPS of about $0.90, about 48% growth. Both 2027 figures sit above analyst estimates of $6.14 billion and $0.82, which investor commentary put at 4.2% and $0.08 ahead of consensus. The same commentary highlighted healthy underwriting and said the company expects no capital raises through 2027.

CEO Anthony Noto told analysts, "I now have as much confidence in our ability to drive durable growth in a high-rate environment as I do in a low-rate environment". That matters because the original 2026 plan assumed rate cuts that have not arrived. The stock rose about 11% in morning trading to around $16, while HOOD and AFRM gained about 2% each, suggesting the move was specific to SoFi. Even after the jump, the shares remain down 38% this year.

What to watch: personal-loan credit performance as originations accelerate, whether fee-based revenue keeps growing as a share of the mix, and whether the 2027 targets hold if rates stay higher for longer. At about 17 times forward earnings, some commentators see the stock as cheap relative to its expected earnings growth.
