StoneX Boosts Feed Trading Capabilities and Launches Digital Partnership with EDX Markets

StoneX Group announced the acquisition of Advanced Marketing Group, adding animal feed and pet food materials to its North American trading portfolio. The firm also partnered with EDX Markets to launch StoneX Digital services, expanding its presence in digital asset trading. Together, these moves aim to broaden StoneX's commodity and digital market offerings.

SNEX confirmed the acquisition of Advanced Marketing Group, adding feed ingredients for animal feed and pet food to its North American physical commodities trading portfolio. Separately, StoneX Digital announced a partnership with EDX Markets, extending the firm into digital asset trading services.

The two deals are smaller than they look in isolation but consistent as strategy. StoneX makes money on transaction volume and on financing the physical flows it intermediates, so bolting on an adjacent commodity vertical adds clients and inventory turns without requiring a new operating model. Feed ingredients sit naturally alongside the grain and protein books the firm already runs.

The EDX partnership is the more consequential of the two directionally. EDX Markets is an institutionally backed digital asset venue, and routing through it lets StoneX offer crypto execution to existing institutional clients without taking on the custody and regulatory surface of running its own exchange. That is a deliberately conservative way into the asset class.

Neither announcement carries disclosed financial terms, so the near-term earnings impact is unquantifiable from the releases alone. What to watch is whether digital asset volumes show up as a separately discussed revenue line in coming quarters and how quickly the feed ingredients book is integrated into segment reporting, since that is where the operating leverage from a bolt-on acquisition either appears or does not.
