It launched in 2008 and is run by Spotify Technology S.A. (SPOT), a Luxembourg company whose principal operational office is in Stockholm. Alex Norström and Gustav Söderström have been co-chief executive officers since January 1, 2026, and founder Daniel Ek is executive chairman.
